Periodontal (gum) disease is a leading cause of tooth loss and is associated with other chronic diseases, such as diabetes and heart disease. All new and returning patients are checked for gum health during their cleanings and examinations. Our hygienists are gentle, skilled and thorough, looking for any telltale signs of  periodontal disease. As with any medical condition, it is much easier to treat with early diagnosis. This keen eye for prevention is the philosophy for our dental care. If periodontal disease is detected early enough, we can get you the treatment you need to stay in good health with non-surgical and  laser periodontal therapy, with the option of sedation to ensure your comfort.

Our in-house Board Certified Periodontist, Dr. Bana Anbari, is here to help when periodontal disease progresses and in situations when a patient has a complex medical history. As a periodontal specialist, Dr. Anbari is an expert in preventing, diagnosing, and treating periodontal disease, and in the placement of dental implants. 

Dr. Anbari offers a wide range of treatments to restore the infected root of the tooth, as well as root surface debridement to remove damaged gum tissue. She can also address severe gum issues with oral surgery.

Dr. Anbari is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. Dedicated to research and education, Dr. Anbari enjoys teaching periodontics at Case Western Reserve University, where she has been a Clinical Assistant Professor since 2008. Her work has also been published in the Journal of Dental Research. She maintains a rigorous schedule of advanced clinical training and studies to remain at the forefront of the advanced fields of periodontics and dental implantology and to integrate new successful techniques into her work.

Dr. Anbari possesses a warm and friendly chair-side manner, and it is her innate warmth, patience, and sincerity that make the difference in her care. In her free time, Dr. Anbari enjoys running, traveling, and spending time with family.
