"Many years ago I applied to Napoleon Dental Associates (yes, we have changed our name over time). I was a very young adult just starting a family and had never really had a “grown up job”. After starting with Dental Excellence I knew right away that things were different and that I had found somewhere special. There are so many wonderful memories, friendships and opportunities for growth that I have experienced over the years. It is quite common for people you talk to about their jobs to hear what wonderful friends they have made and that they have had __ amount of years with their company. But, what you never hear is the impact on them personally. I sincerely owe my early personal and professional development to Dr. Carpenter. Early on in my career it was clear that Dr. Carpenter was someone who fostered growth. He would expose our team to a lot of continuing education and challenge us to grow. I had never had anyone willing to invest in me and my knowledge which led to me not realizing my own potential. After 9 years of this consistent development I decided to go to nursing school. I still say that I owe this major decision in my life to Dr. Carpenter. Without his constant dedication in helping me grow I would have never had the confidence to pursue another career. Not only did he provide improvement to me but he also was excited that I was wanting to grow and he was so supportive. Afterall, I was headed into a career that is very different from dentistry. But, I think that he knew even before I did that I would be back in the company someday.
When I rejoined the company I was able to develop even more as a leader and within my job. This time a lot of my development started coming from others that Dr. Carpenter had been brought into the company. Thank you to anyone who has had a hand in that over the years! Dental Excellence also provides so many other opportunities for us to grow personally. I have taken advantage of financial coaching over the years and it has made such a huge impact on me and my family. What a lot of people do not realize about a company or people pouring into your development is that it not only impacts you but the people around you. I am a better mother, wife, friend and person for it. It has not always been comfortable but SO worth it! I pass on my development to my children and my spouse. I am blessed to be able to be a part of something so great! These are the reasons that a nurse works in a dental practice." |
"To start off I would like to say that being offered an opportunity to share “WHY” I so happily choose to work for my employer IS NOT NORMAL.
Choosing to work at Dental Excellence was a decision deeply rooted in a shared commitment to core values that resonate with my own beliefs and aspirations. From my very first day when I was just an extern looking to start my career in dentistry, I felt a sense of dedication to patient care that coincided with my personal beliefs. At Dental Excellence, it’s not just about fixing teeth; it’s about restoring confidence, relieving pain, and improving overall well-being. It’s about being part of a team that values compassion, professionalism, and excellence in everything we do. But beyond the technical aspects of dentistry, what truly drew me to Dental Excellence was the genuine sense of community. Here, patients aren’t just names on a chart; they’re individuals with unique stories and fears. Being able to connect with them on a personal level, to earn their trust and see the gratitude in their smiles, is incredibly rewarding. One of the most valuable aspects of my time here has been the friendships I’ve formed with my colleagues, nurtured by the strong leadership that sets the tone for our workplace culture. Our leaders at Dental Excellence are more than just supervisors—they’re mentors, advocates, and champions of our professional growth and personal well-being. Their leadership isn’t just about issuing directives; it’s about empowering us to reach our full potential and creating an environment of trust and respect. Every day at Dental Excellence is a reminder of why I chose this profession—to serve others with empathy, skill, and unwavering dedication. It’s a privilege to be part of a team that shares these values and works tirelessly to deliver exceptional care to every patient who walks through our doors. And for me, that’s what makes working at Dental Excellence not just a job, but a calling." |
"Since I started at Dental Excellence, I have felt appreciated. I have been challenged. I have felt like I was failing only to be picked up by my coworkers and leadership. I have been pushed past what was comfortable for me into what would give my patients a better experience. Mostly, I have gone to work and left happy, even if it was late and I was exhausted. That has made a huge difference in my home life with my family.
I have been amazed by the reviews from patients that I have seen, who may or may not have even mentioned my name. Just seeing that they gave us five stars and had a great experience gives me a great big warm fuzzy. I know we made them feel heard and seen and comfortable. “This is not normal” in most dental offices. And I’m glad to not be at a normal office." |
