COMMUNITY OUTREACH

At Dental Excellence, our purpose is to honor God through exceptional service to our patients, team and community. Through our annual Smiles From the Heart event, we provide a full day of free dental care to local residents in need, and we proudly honor veterans each year with complimentary services. We also support our troops by collecting treats for care packages through our annual Halloween Candy Buyback, and we teach the next generation about oral health during National Children’s Dental Health Month with fun, interactive school visits.

Our outreach doesn’t stop there. We’re passionate about making a difference in the lives of others right here in our own community. Through our Culture Champion Program, team members are encouraged to take the lead on outreach initiatives that are close to their hearts, allowing us to support a wide range of causes as a unified team. Whether we’re caring for someone across town or welcoming them into our practice, we are committed to using our gifts to serve with purpose and love.

Smiles From the Heart is Dental Excellence’s annual day of giving where our team provides free dental care to members of the community who may not otherwise have access to treatment. This event is rooted in our commitment to serve others and improve lives through dentistry. Patients receive essential services such as cleanings, fillings, and extractions at no cost. Each year, our doctors, team members, and volunteers come together to donate their time and skills to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our neighbors. Smiles From the Heart reflects the heart of Dental Excellence by combining compassionate care with a passion for helping our community smile.

Kids Day

Kids Day is a fun and educational event designed to help children learn the importance of taking care of their smiles. During this free community event, we host games, activities, and crafts that help children understand how brushing, flossing, and regular dental visits keep their smiles strong. Kids Day reflects our commitment to early education and helping young patients build healthy habits that last a lifetime.

Henry County Parade

Each year, our team enjoys being part of the Henry County Fair Parade, one of the community’s most exciting traditions. This event gives us the opportunity to celebrate alongside our neighbors while sharing smiles and connecting with families throughout the area. Veterans Day

Each Veterans Day, our team is honored to provide free dental care to local veterans as a way to thank them for their service and sacrifice. This outreach initiative is our opportunity to give back to the men and women who have given so much to our country. By offering essential dental services at no cost, we hope to show our appreciation while helping veterans maintain healthy, confident smiles.

Halloween Candy Buyback

Each year after Halloween, our team participates in the Halloween Candy Buyback. Families are invited to bring in their extra Halloween candy, and in return, kids receive cash while helping support a meaningful cause. The collected candy is included in care packages for deployed troops overseas.

National Children's Dental Health Month

Each February, our team celebrates National Children’s Dental Health Month by visiting local schools and community organizations to teach kids about the importance of good oral hygiene. Through fun presentations, demonstrations, and hands-on activities, we help children learn how brushing, flossing, and healthy habits keep their smiles strong. This outreach is all about building confidence, encouraging lifelong dental care, and helping kids understand that taking care of their teeth can be both important and fun.
